.... continues from Part 1
It stopped raining after we left Mare Longue and here we still have some km's to walk. A lot of improvement has been done in the park over the last years and one of them is the track signs.
Muddy road after the rain
Black River Peak (828 m / 2716 feet) covered in clouds
Do you see that brown 'thing' in the middle right? That's a wild boar baby! :) There were two; this brown one and a black one just around the corner to the right. They escaped when they spotted us.
Corps de Garde mountain (720 m / 2362 feet) in the distance
Part of Black River Gorges. The weather is improving.
A short stop at Petrin buying some junk food to eat. The vultures are waiting! :)
The old lady making 'faratas' (roti) - soft flat bread
Reaching Ganga Talao (Grand Bassin) in sunny weather.
The statue under construction is the Hindu Goddess Durga
Statue of Lord Shiva (32.9 meters / 108 feet)
